Premier Field Hockey’s Enhanced Virtual Camp (EVC)

Improve your skills, overall game knowledge, and experience personal growth during this COVID-19 summer by enrolling in our EVC. Your’s and our staff’s health and safety are our number one priority. With the regulations in place this summer, we feel this is the best way to hold our camp and still give you a great experience. 

How is our EVC different than just putting a workout up online and calling it a camp? As you may know, we have an awesome and very experienced staff, who use virtual learning platforms for their collegiate teams, and some in their teaching profession. We have used their experience to put together a curriculum that incorporates not only field hockey workouts and in-game knowledge, but also group or “team” video calls, as well as daily individual calls with your coach. These video calls are designed to be interactive and help with socialization during this time. We will also have guest speakers via video on a variety of development topics important to your field hockey and personal journey. Not all of the “lessons” will be live video, so you can fit some of the workouts into your schedule. Lastly, the time commitment for the athletes is approximately two hours a day and is scheduled for Monday - Thursday.

While this is not the “norm” for our camp, we have used this challenge to develop a program to be sure you have the opportunity to improve personally as well as your field hockey skills. We will be using “Google Classroom” as our main platform to run camp this summer. Athletes will receive a “camp kit” with field hockey balls, cones for drills, and a t-shirt.  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out via email: pleclerc@suffieldct.gov .
