9:15 AM - 12:00 PM    Kid’s Korner Camp (Age 5 - Entering Gr. 2) - Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp - Session 1
Your child will have non-stop fun this summer in the Kid’s Korner interactive and educational camp!  The Kid’s Korner Camp is an enriching program for children who have reached their 5th birthday by the start of the session enrolled in (proof of age required must be toilet trained) through those entering 2nd grade. Campers will enjoy a variety of activities including: arts and crafts, educational themes,  painting, water sprinkler day, outdoor and indoor creative play, games, story time, scavenger hunts and snack time in this super fun and inclusive camp. For a special treat Popsicle's will be served during our outdoor games and sprinkler days and special snacks are enjoyed on our special event days including ice cream and frozen fruit pops. There is a new theme each session to keep your child/ren captivated all summer long. This camp will be held during the hot summer months. Please remember to bring ample water and apply  sun protection to your child before camp. Parents are also asked to pack a nut-free snack/lunch that is labeled with their child’s name on it.  We will also have a fun Sprinkler day on Tuesdays each week.  Please have your child wear a swim-suit/swim attire under their camp close that day and bring a towel. If there are thunderstorms, we will move the sprinkler day to another day during the camp week and parents will be notified in advanced.This summer, camp slots will be open to Suffield residents whose parents/caregivers are essential workers, called back to work, and our camps serve as their primary source of child care until June 22. Children will have a blast while painting a variety of creative projects with their friends.  The class will be broken up into two separate age appropriate groups. Campers will learn techniques of painting and learn about colors. Quality projects will be painted each day including: wood, glass, felt art and ceramic pieces. Included in the fee are:  projects, paints, instruction and small snack.   Please have your child wear old clothes to this class as it can be messy.  If your child is attending the Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp, they are welcome to register  to stay after camp and go directly to this fun class.  Please pack an extra nut free snack.

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM    Ready to Run Running Club - Wednesdays Only (Ages 5 & Older) - Ready to Run-Running Club Wednesdays Only
Are you ready to run?  Come join certified coaches and trainers for a fun training program. Yes, running can be fun!   (New this year in person sessions and a live Zoom option!)All levels of runners are welcome.  This program is the perfect way to train for the upcoming Suffield Parks and Recreation 5K Run/Walk and 10K Road Race  held on Saturday, September 7 and for other local races.  This new running group will also get you in overall great shape and help you make new running friends. Led by an experienced runner and coach, each session will start with a warm up, followed by the workout and ending with a cool down and stretches. The running workouts will be based on the levels of the runners. The participants will be coached during the session as well as given tools to continue the training on their own. You will gain the maximum and optimal benefits of the program by signing up for the two nights a week program but we offer the one night a week if your schedule does not permit. As you may know, we have an awesome and very experienced staff, who use virtual learning platforms for their collegiate teams, and some in their teaching profession. We have used their experience to put together a curriculum that incorporates not only field hockey workouts and in-game knowledge, but also group or “team” video calls, as well as daily individual calls with your coach. These video calls are designed to be interactive and help with socialization during this time. We will also have guest speakers via video on a variety of development topics important to your field hockey and personal journey. Not all of the “lessons” will be live video, so you can fit some of the workouts into your schedule. Lastly, the time commitment for the athletes is approximately two hours a day and is scheduled for Monday - Thursday.While this is not the “norm” for our camp, we have used this challenge to develop a program to be sure you have the opportunity to improve personally as well as your field hockey skills. We will be using “Google Classroom” as our main platform to run camp this summer. In this once a week (for 5 consecutive weeks) camp for children entering Grades K-2, students will conduct science experiments, create themed foods and beverages, dabble with new art mediums, and keep a scientific notebook to record their fun findings.  Contactless pick up for all the materials you need each morning of camp. Two 30-minute Zoom lessons guiding your child and you through activities will be held each day.  Listings of recommended extension activities will be provided.  All materials become the property of the student. Adult supervision and guidance will be needed for this camp. NOTE: Additional materials fee $40.00 paid to instructor the first day during non-contact program material pick up.

Are you ready to run?  Come join certified coaches and trainers for a fun training program. Yes, running can be fun!   (New this year in person sessions and a live Zoom option!)All levels of runners are welcome.  This program is the perfect way to train for the upcoming Suffield Parks and Recreation 5K Run/Walk and 10K Road Race  held on Saturday, September 7 and for other local races.  This new running group will also get you in overall great shape and help you make new running friends. Led by an experienced runner and coach, each session will start with a warm up, followed by the workout and ending with a cool down and stretches. The running workouts will be based on the levels of the runners. The participants will be coached during the session as well as given tools to continue the training on their own. You will gain the maximum and optimal benefits of the program by signing up for the two nights a week program but we offer the one night a week if your schedule does not permit. Two 30-minute Zoom lessons guiding your child and you through activities will be held each day.  Listings of recommended extension activities will be provided.  All materials become the property of the student. Are you ready to run?  Come join certified coaches and trainers for a fun training program. Yes, running can be fun!   (New this year in person sessions and a live Zoom option!)All levels of runners are welcome.  This program is the perfect way to train for the upcoming Suffield Parks and Recreation 5K Run/Walk and 10K Road Race  held on Saturday, September 7 and for other local races.  This new running group will also get you in overall great shape and help you make new running friends. Led by an experienced runner and coach, each session will start with a warm up, followed by the workout and ending with a cool down and stretches. The running workouts will be based on the levels of the runners. The participants will be coached during the session as well as given tools to continue the training on their own. You will gain the maximum and optimal benefits of the program by signing up for the two nights a week program but we offer the one night a week if your schedule does not permit. 9:15 AM - 12:00 PM    Kid’s Korner Camp (Age 5 - Entering Gr. 2) - Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp - Session 3
Your child will have non-stop fun this summer in the Kid’s Korner interactive and educational camp!  The Kid’s Korner Camp is an enriching program for children who have reached their 5th birthday by the start of the session enrolled in (proof of age required must be toilet trained) through those entering 2nd grade. Campers will enjoy a variety of activities including: arts and crafts, educational themes,  painting, water sprinkler day, outdoor and indoor creative play, games, story time, scavenger hunts and snack time in this super fun and inclusive camp. For a special treat Popsicle's will be served during our outdoor games and sprinkler days and special snacks are enjoyed on our special event days including ice cream and frozen fruit pops. There is a new theme each session to keep your child/ren captivated all summer long. This camp will be held during the hot summer months. Please remember to bring ample water and apply  sun protection to your child before camp. Parents are also asked to pack a nut-free snack/lunch that is labeled with their child’s name on it.  We will also have a fun Sprinkler day on Tuesdays each week.  Please have your child wear a swim-suit/swim attire under their camp close that day and bring a towel. If there are thunderstorms, we will move the sprinkler day to another day during the camp week and parents will be notified in advanced.This summer, camp slots will be open to Suffield residents whose parents/caregivers are essential workers, called back to work, and our camps serve as their primary source of child care until June 22. After this deadline, we will open camps up to all Suffield families, if there are slots available until June 24thSession 1:  June 29 - July 10 (no camp on Friday, July 3)Session 2:  July 13 - 24Session 3:  July 27- August 7Limited enrollment.Time: 9:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.Ages: 5 Years old - Entering Grade 2 Location: Spaulding Elementary School

You will have a blast in this ultimate calorie burning high intensity class.  Tabata is a form of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) that alternates between twenty seconds of intense bursts of work and ten seconds of rest in four-minute rounds. This class will have you burning calories even after you leave class.  All fitness levels are welcomed.
